Lordy
miss Molly! What can possibly be said about this scooter
that has not already been published in hundreds of
books, thousands of articles, and then slobbered over
by millions of fans world wide? Well for one, standing
near it you come to realize that it is quite a bit
smaller than one would suspect, even for a 500cc single
cylinder scoot, and thus your imagination runs wild
with fever at the thought of burning backroads to
cinders. Width wise it is actually comparable in size
to the 500cc bikes racing Grand Prix, though it looks
about as wide as me turned sideways. And most significantly,
the deadpan look that I possess in the picture is
what happens after you are overcome with delusional
delight in the off chance that you can sit on it when
others have left the room, that you end up turning
into a vegetable (potato most likely) at the mere
sight of such elegant craftsmanship, design synthesis,
and sheer boldness for producing such a one off. If
one looks closely enough, you can see that I have
taken root just standing there like a tree stump.
Jimi appropriately started asking for the back end
of a shovel to move me. Sigh.

The
road less traveled (much less at low speeds) does
not exist in Italy. Note the white striped line in
the middle of the Autostrada coming back from Bologne.
Finally figured out that it really meant, "drive
as you need to"! Gottah love those Italians.
Fantastico. Click on the thumbnail
