the DUCATI factory and museum VISIT!!!!!!!!!

Oh yee gods indeed. So we arrive at the factory, awaiting our turn at an English speaking guide to route us through the blurring lines of computer controlled machinery and hand assemblage that occurs for the engines, and lo and behold, parked outside the waiting line is one of three Fogerty Replica 916sps bikes owned by a lucky few who just so traveled here for the festival (there were 200 of these scoots made in total for world wide distribution). This one was owned by a rather boorish loud mouthed Englishman, who had traveled across the Chunnel and streaked across countless countrysides to stand outside the waiting area and loudly proclaim cheekishly that the occasional issues with Duc's was due to the line of almost completely female engine assemblers. Funny thing was that there was an Aussie couple on our tour who had two (!) of these bikes and the lass was well equipped to talk shop with the offending Englishman, given that she rebuilds her own bikes! Snort implied! Though the Pilota was a bit of an arse, his bike was quite spectacular!!!!

The road less traveled (much less at low speeds) does not exist in Italy. Note the white striped line in the middle of the Autostrada coming back from Bologne. Finally figured out that it really meant, "drive as you need to"! Gottah love those Italians. Fantastico. Click on the thumbnail image to do the dance.

Got questions...?...Got milk...?...send eMail to Jim Goodlett if you got either!!
