Right
then, AND THEY ARE OFF...my back marker self is
nearly in the last row of the start as the field
punches out a right smart start...to say that the
racing in the SEMRA org is competitive is like saying
the Scot's make a decent single malt scotch...not
only are the scoots highly tuned, but most of the
racers make their road going counter parts seem
silly in skill compare...
the other piece to note is that at SEMRA events,
you can book some serious saddle time, unlike other
racing organizations who not only barely look at
Minis, but also don't give you anywhere near the
track time as we ran this day...entering two classes
with a tweaked Derbi GPR50 (72cc now), I did 8 track
events that day - 4 practice sessions in the morn,
and a qualifier and a race in the afternoon for
each grouping...and we finished with enough time
to do more if your back and tyres could hold...NOW
THATS THE WAY RACING SHOULD BE...hint hint to other
orgs...and a tipped hat to John Halsey and his superb
crew...
