and the GREAT ESSCAPE begins...but begins with a bit
a whimsy as one John McKinnon, owner of many a Euro
scoot, must not have gotten the memo about the dirt
offing by the group...though John has joined for many
an ESSCAPE ride on the road, he decided to have a
look see at what this dirt adventuring was about,
and graced us with a showing of his most recent purchase
~ that of what looks to be a spectacular example of
brand spanking new (sans some mountain twisted road
miles already under foot) Aprilia Tuono R...bespeckled
with lovely bits of carbon spalshed throughout (not
to mention the gob smacking set of Arrow carbon cans),
John came out to capture mental notes, if not a few
pics, of what the lads have been on about of late,
and what hopefully will be his and Craig Cocke's participation
in the near future...that is to say, their vested
interest in true bits of "On Any Sunday"
adventuring...
in the rolled over image, we see the smattering of
felons who are about to saddle up and give the dirt
a bit of flogging...from left to right are John McIntosh
(who bellies up to the bar with the smackest KTM 450
EXC known to dirt kind), newbie to the group Ed Nahmur,
Jack Brown, Rocky Brower, and the cheshire grinning
new 625 SXC owner, Steve Foote, who later in the ride,
showed the metal that the high flow head turns to
in an all out drag strip 3 bike length winning form...
not exactly a bunch you want to bring home to meet
dear Mah Ma, but I am quite sure that dirt biking
Dad would nod with general approval if not a beauty
queen wave of the freed hand not holding a gentleman's
proper scotch...
