Arriving in different modalities, the ESSCAPE crew
made way to get settled in...Jack, in the non-rolled
over image, brought a land barge that was appointed
like no other...him and his bride enjoyed the camping
area adjacent to Cheraw...
whilst in the rolled over image, Alton stands next
to our PT boat in compare to Jack's...that said, our
PT boat definitely had the ability to set the winds
to our backs for a bit of downhill if need be...and
although there was nearly no speeding needed to skip
up the road towards event, the PT boat did however
manage to accumulate a rather nasty speed trapped
ticket in a two horse town called Society Hill just
east of Chewaw...it was the worst of speed traps as
the roadway we were upon was a mild 45 mph, and then
you had to take a quick flick to the left which descended
quite rapidly...as you took the left, the speed sign
switched down to 35mph instantly, and there sat a
low browed copper eating a donut waiting with sugar
encrusted laser gun in other hand for the el stupido
racing tourists to come...he popped us [read as
me] with a mild US$200 ticket and
nearly gave Alton one for unbuckling his seat belt
during the outing...Jack was even good enough to rub
it in by telling tale of a forum he ran across after
arriving to the State Park area...in the forum they
specifically warned the drivers of the speed trap
to come...lovely that the INNERnet posted warning
was a day late and US$200 dollars short...!....
so LET THIS BE WARNING FOR ANYONE COMING TO PLAY next
year as Society Hill seems to be, quite less so...
